Sathya Jyothi Films have always come up with impressive storylines, films which were based on an average budget but when on to touch the heights of success. Movies like ‘Moondram Pirai’, ‘Kizhaku Vaasal’, ‘Idhayam’, ‘Parthiban Kanavu’, ‘Em Magan’ and ‘Jeyam Kondan’ have lingering memories in people’s minds. Now this production house is all set out to bring another endeavour, ‘Baana Kaathadi’.

Written and directed by Badri Venkatesh, ‘Baana Kaathadi’ has sparkling cast that include the debut hero Adharva (son of actor Murali), the leading lady Samantha, comedian Karunas and ‘Anjaathey’ famed Prasanna in a very prominent role.

Interestingly, the movie is about young kite fliers’ lives and their lifestyles. So the choice of location naturally includes the most popular kite destination, Gujarat, where every year it holds International Kite Festival amidst a huge crowd of 3000. Besides this, Chennai and Thailand are rounded on for shooting.

‘Baana Kaathadi’ is being produced by Senthil Thyagarajan and T. Arjun along with P. Rajkumar as the Production Executive. The music is by Yuvan SHankar Raja and editing is by Suresh Urs. Behind the art direction is Rembon whereas Richard M. Nathan undertakes the cinematography.

Badri Venkatesh had won a National award for his short film, ‘Vidiyalai Nokki’, and we hope ‘Baana Kaathadi’ also touches the similar sky of success.
